Lebanon College Suspension of Classes

Fall 2014

Lebanon College regrets to announce that we have had to minimize operations and cancel all Fall 2014 classes scheduled to begin the week of August 25, 2014.

Lebanon College testing center will continue to deliver exams until further notice.

UPDATE – August 26, 2014

IMPORTANT STUDENT NOTICE

A mandatory meeting of all active and new matriculated Fall 2014 LC students will be held:

WHEN:  Thursday, August 28, 2014 at 5:30pm

WHERE:  Lebanon College – Main Campus Lecture Hall

Your attendance at this important informational session is mandated to ensure you will be able to take advantage of a time sensitive opportunity to continue your current educational programs and goals.

Administrators from River Valley Community College (RVCC) and LC will present details on how you will be able to seamlessly transfer to RVCC all credits* completed at LC to date, and complete your degree or certificate program with RVCC.

Please RSVP your regrets to pgerard@lebanoncollege.edu if you will not be able to attend this meeting.

*Student eligibility to participate in this transfer credit arrangement is restricted to active, matriculated students identified by Lebanon College.  Transfer credit may be limited by the minimum grade point averages requirements and applicability to students chosen program.

LC President Biron, along with the LC Deans and Program Director for the Radiography program met Monday, August 25, 2014 with RVCC President Harvey-Smith and lead members of the RVCC Academic Affairs staff, to discuss how River Valley Community College could best assist LC students with the completion of their degree and certificate programs.

RVCC already offers accredited degrees and certificates in Business Management, Early Childhood Education, Criminal Justice, Medical Coding, and Medical Assisting; and has a keen interest in adding Radiography to their program offerings.

After a very productive meeting, the group agreed to invite all active LC students to the LC campus on Thursday, August 28, 2014 at  5:30pm, to meet RVCC Program Directors and advisors to learn more about the transfer process and educational opportunities available at RVCC.

Meanwhile, the Year-2 Radiography students are all aware that their program will continue uninterrupted, and they have begun their second Clinical Rotation as scheduled the week of August 25, 2014.

UPDATE – August 20, 2014

Since making the class suspension announcement on Monday, August 18, 2014, LC has received an overwhelmingly supportive and positive response from the State of New Hampshire Higher Education Commission, State, Community and Government representatives, and colleagues from several of the other Colleges and Universities in New Hampshire, Vermont, and Massachusetts, with guidance and offers to provide our students with the opportunity to transfer and continue the pursuit and achievement of their educational programs and goals.  We anticipate being able to notify each of our active, matriculated students of viable “teach-out” options by Friday, August 29, 2014.

Meanwhile, the Year-two Radiography students are all aware that their program will continue uninterrupted, and they will begin their second Clinical Rotation as scheduled the week of August 25, 2014.
