Lebanon
College
has an open
admissions
policy with the exception of certain allied health programs. When the
College receives all appropriate application materials and fees, the
applicant will be admitted into the chosen program based on demonstration of
ability to do college level work. For more information
on a specific program, contact the
Admissions
Office.
It may be strongly recommended that an accepted student take or test out of
remedial or prerequisite courses in science, math or writing, if strengthening
in those areas is indicated before registering for major core courses. The
credits earned by taking these courses do not count towards graduation
requirements.
The College retains the right to deny
admissions
to any applicant who does not complete the application process in a timely
manner, is unable to actively participate in his/her program of study or
appears to pose a threat to or be likely to endanger the College community.
That assessment is made by the office of the Academic Dean.
Non-matriculated students
who wish to take courses, but not enter into a program may register for any
class without benefit of a high school diploma or GED.
All students, regardless of matriculated or non-matriculated status must
meet the requirements for any class that has a prerequisite.
Students under the age of 16 need special permission to enroll at Lebanon College. Contact the Admissions

1. Complete the application form and send it with
the appropriate fee to the Lebanon College Admissions Office with the following documentation:
- Official copy of high school transcript or
equivalent sent to the College(required);
- Official transcripts if applicable, from
colleges previously attended;
- Any test results (CLEP, etc.) if applicable;
- Letter or essay stating reason for choosing
program of study(required);
2. Submit a “Life Experience Portfolio,” if
applicable, with the appropriate fee; and
3. Make an appointment to meet with the Dean of
Academic by visiting the
Registrar/Admissions office, calling the main office at 603-448-2445 or
email admissions@lebanoncollege.edu (required).
All the records and transcripts must be received
within a specific time frame. It is the responsibility of the student to
monitor this process and make sure that all records and transcripts
are received by the Admissions Office
within that time frame.
Some programs at Lebanon College may have specific
guidelines for admission requirements due to the nature of those programs.

Professional Liability Insurance
All students
are required to obtain Professional Liability Insurance (malpractice
insurance) during any clinical or internship education courses, one month
before the first clinical term or prior to the start of an internship.
Proof of this insurance must be
supplied to the clinical coordinator or internship coordinator. Renewal is
required for the second year
Health
Insurance
Lebanon College assumes no
liability for student injury or illness in the didactic, clinical or
internship education courses. Therefore, each student will provide his/her
own health insurance. If a student needs medical attention while
participating in any medical or professional course, treatment shall be at
the student’s discretion. Billing for treatment and/or services rendered
shall be directly through the student or his/her insurance carrier.
Criminal Background Check
and Drug Testing Policies
This policy affects any student seeking admission into
the Allied Health Programs at Lebanon
College.
Students must clear a criminal background check before admission to
the Radiography Program. Failure
to undergo the background check will result in dismissal from the program.
If the background check indicates criminal behavior, the student may
be dismissed from the program.
Students may appeal the decision and will have the opportunity to present
information to dispute the background check. Cost for criminal background
checks and drug testing will be the responsibility of the student.
Students must further agree that all results are available to the
program and the clinical sites associated with the program.
Should a clinical agency refuse to place a student based on the
outcome of the background check or the drug screen, the program has no
responsibility for arranging alternate clinical placements. Further

Radiography Program Additional Admissions Requirements -
-
Ability to meet the physical and emotional
demands of the profession that include:
- Assisting patients to be radiographed;
- Ability to lift 50 pounds;

Must be 18 years old before beginning
a second term;
-
Radiology Department Visitation (8 hours);
-
Interviews with Department Head
and Clinical Coordinator;
-
No record of criminal felony.
Further information for obtaining
the required background check will be provided upon admission to the
Radiography program. Any costs incurred for criminal background checks
and drug testing will be the responsibility of the student.
Clinical affiliate sites may require drug testing prior to placement of
students for clinical rotations.
A positive drug test result may prohibit the student from completion of
the program and affect financial aid eligibility;

Certification of Health
– A physical/immunization (measles, mumps, rubella and
varicella) record form must be completed by the student’s physician
at his/her own expense.A No student will be allowed to begin their
training unless the College has received this documentation prior to
the beginning of the first term.

Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification – BCLS for
health care worker’s upon beginning the program. Certification must be
current and current throughout the program. A copy of the card must be
submitted to program faculty.
